Director, LeVanta Tech

Guillaume embarked on his naval career with the French Navy in 1998, assuming the role of a surface warfare officer. Over the course of more than 1500 days at sea, he served on a diverse array of French naval vessels, including frigates, destroyers, LHDs, an aircraft carrier, and a hydrographic research vessel. Throughout his distinguished career, he actively participated in operations wherever the French Navy was engaged, be it on national deployments or within various coalitions such as NATO, European, and US/French collaborations, demonstrating his expertise across all warfare domains—surface, submarine, and air. Guillaume’s specialization lies in air defense.

In 2015, Guillaume made a pivotal career shift, transitioning to a French shipyard, Kership, a subsidiary of Naval Group. Here, he assumed responsibility for developing the business line of patrol boats in Latin America and Europe. Two years later, he embraced a new challenge at iXblue (now Exail), where he spearheaded the strategic and business development for the newly established DriX Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV). This transformative journey involved understanding the needs of the energy and scientific domains and translating those insights into innovative DriX capabilities. Working alongside a stellar R&D and technical team, Guillaume successfully launched a military branch in 2022, capitalizing on the maturation of the naval market for unmanned assets.

For the past six years, Guillaume has been exclusively immersed in the unmanned field, with a primary focus on the US market. His passion for unmanned technologies has driven him to not only comprehend the intricacies of this evolving sector but also to actively contribute to its growth. Based in France, he extensively travels worldwide and is currently in the process of graduating from the prestigious IHEDN (a French public institution that focuses on education, research, and reflection in the field of national defense and security), further enriching his insights into national defense and security matters.
